English speaking television productions is now on The Bay Islands!
The television programming has aired throughout the entire island of Roatan, other Bay Islands and cities in Honduras. It is the first English speaking feature television programming. The first English speaking television programming began in January 2005 with several interviews with the top political candidates running for office including Dale Jackson, Julio Galindo, Perry Bodden, Evans McNab, Roatan Mayor Jerry Hynds and Shawn Hyde. Two of the candidates running for President, Pepe Lobo and Miguel Pastor, who took part in a thirty minute in depth interview, also appeared on the show. There are several ways to become a sponsor on the shows!
1. A primary advertising position on the productions would be signified by being placed first in the program as a "brought to you by" sponsor, the main sponsor on the show. You would be seen in the first 30 seconds. This footage will also be shown at least two more times: at the middle of the production and again at the end. This position in the production would be for a promotional fee of $500. 2. A secondary position would be as a supportive major sponsor. This sponsor is located in the second position of "also brought to you by" advertisers. Commercials within special programming would be 20 seconds in length and be shown second within the production. This position is also be shown at least two more times: at the middle of the production and again at the end. This sponsorship in the production would be for a promotional fee of $300. The completed commercial including video taping, editing and voice over for the video commercial is just $500 with a three month commitment! Other original special programming already produced and aired includes "The Port Royal Third Annual Bay Islands International Triathlon," "Semana Santa Beach Week Special from West Bay Beach, " the Canaturh-Bay Islands sponsored "Police Fundraising Event at Palmetto Bay Plantation," "Career Day" at the Coxen Hole Bi-Lingual School, "The First Annual Roatan Shrimp Festival" and "Weekend in Panama." Additional unique programming soon to be seen covering "Welcome to the West End", "French Harbour", "Eastern Roatan Island", "The Garifuna Village", "Saving Our Coral Reef" are already in production.
