About Roatan Bruce:
     

    Bruce Starr, A.K.A Roatan Bruce, has been an owner of companies skilled
and experienced in promoting businesses using the media since 1976. He started his career in the entertainment industry in 1981 when he moved to Los Angeles and Hollywood was a creative publicist, press, promotions and talent agent for actors, actresses and comedians.

Over the years, he represented people like Charlene Tilton of Dallas fame, Howie Mandel, Paul Reiser and dozens of other well-known comedians. It has been said that Ellen DeGeneres asked him to represent her, but he could not take on an unknown talent out of New Orleans at the time while already representing 35 other comedians.

Bruce turned to radio and television starting in 1990 to promote a professional speaking career as well as the careers and businesses of hundreds of other companies. The number of interviews on radio and television with well-known celebrities, authors and athletes is available upon request.

He has been in radio and television both as a producer and host in areas such as Los Angeles, South Florida, New England and Arizona.  Since October 2003, the Western Caribbean has been the home of The Roatan Bruce Show, the only English speaking non-religious talk radio programming. On October 6th, he will celebrate seven years on Roatan Radio!

The show is the main source of important, timely information for English speaking islanders, residents and tourists. He has interviewed over 400 of the "Who's Who" of The Bay Islands and Honduras including four Presidents of Honduras, Congressmen, Mayors, Governors and many of the top business and community leaders. His “Official, Un Official Roatan Bruce Bruce Weather Report” and his many world-wide appearances on The Weather Channel has given him the opportunity to be the reporter to  announce previously unavailable storm warnings and aftermath damage to residents of the island and to people around the world.
