	Sinthia Solomon (Zolitur) and Freddy Fernandez from the Honduran version of the I.R.S. auditing department came on the show to talk about a recent plan that was just announced a few days ago to reduce the amount of petro the country is having to buy. The country wants to inforce this new ruling which originally was not to include Roatan, in just a few days. 	Captain Brian Beamish and Lieutenant Kevin Riddle of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office of Phoenix, Arizona were on the show with Commissario Julio Benitez to talk about the sisterhood program well under way between their police departments and our own here in Honduras and especially the Bay Islands. 	The highest ranking National Police Officer on the Bay Islands, Commissario Julio Benitez, was on the show to talk about the steps taken by the National Police to help ensure a safe and peaceful Samana Santa Week 2008. We also talked about the problems a few one sided and self-serving reporters from the Phoenix area have caused for our Sisterhood Law Enforcement Project started by the Maricopa County Sherrif's Department. Please listen to this interview to see how damaging a few people can be to ruin it for the safety, security and protection for us in The Bay Islands and all of Honduras. 	HIV and AIDS community activist Valerie Nelson and several others came on the show to talk about recent advances and changes in the battle against HIV/Aids. On the show for the first time were two island women who were HIV positive. Annie Kay and Sheila shared their story with us. 	Lion's Club Eye Doctor Brigade from Muskegee, Michigan came to serve 3000 islanders during 4 days in early March 2007. Just 2 of the 25 people from the brigade are shown here with two of the dozens of boxes filled with 8000 glasses they brought along with them.
	On the day Hurricane Felix almost came to Roatan in early September 2007, there was a show about the pending storm. NEW!
	On September 8th - Firemen Juan Carlos Bravo and Ross Pruit from the Broward County Sherriff's Office, Department of Fire Rescue, came down for a week of training and contributing equipment to our local Roatan firemen. 32 Minutes.
	Scott Fried, a New York City actor and performer, came to Roatan to talk about HIV and AIDS. He is a professional speaker has been talking around the world about HIV prevention and spoke to high school kids across the island.
	John Tercek - Vice President of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Canaturh Bay Islands President Romeo Silvestri were both heard on the show from interviews made just minutes after the big event at Coral Cay celebrating the groundbreaking of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line dock and the signing of the Free Zone Trade Agreement. 	Dave Oliver with Herb Morici. Dave played briefly with the Cleveland Indians before coming a Major League coach. In college, his 226 career hits held the Cal Poly record for 23 years, and his .320 career average and 112 runs ranked in the top 10 at the time of his induction. He also ranked second to Ozzie Smith in at bats with 706 and third with 13 career triples. He used his baseball knowledge to produce a stellar career as a manager and coach. He was the Manager of the Year for the Triple A Oklahoma City 89ers and also served as a major league coach with the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox where he coached players like Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens, Ivan Rodriguez and many others. 	Miss Deborah Priskop - A retired California school teacher of 38 years found just the perfect place to share and teach children her knowledge and love of the steel drums. This fascinating interview is the first of a many describing her activities right from the start in building the island first steel pan drum band with local island children. 	Doctors Raymand Charrington & Eileen Birmingham - Native Roatan Doctor Raymand Charrington and visiting volunteer Pediatric Doctor Eileen Birmingham from the Bay Area in California who both worked at the Roatan Public Hospital. Dr. Eileen makes several trip a year to volunteer. She is a true assett to the island first coming down with Global Healing. 8/11/2004. 30 minutes.
	Several volunteer Pre-Med students from the University's of Texas were on the show. They were on the island volunteering their time painting and fixing up a local Sandy Bay school while working at Clinica Espiranza with Nurse Peggy. 	November 11th, 2005 The first fifteen minutes of the November 11th, 2005 show. In studio that day was Lic. Wilita Bennett who has opened a new school to teach nursing on the island, and Lic. Ellen Frazier in charge of the AIDS/HIV testing and treatment at the downtown Roatan public hospiral. Also at the studio with them was members of the local rap group "KingSquad." Krazzy, Don Chulo,Versital and others there to promote the fundraising concert that night. 15 Minutes.

	The Security Meeting - Coxen Hole On November 10th, several of the most prominant leaders on the island gathered in response to the recent rise in crime on the island. Congressman Evans McNab (pictured here) led a historical group of people all coming together for the very first time. Governor Janice Johnson, National Police Commissario Jorge Carias, Municipal Police Chief Joseph Solomon, a judge, a representative of the Fiscalia and a representative of the DA's office were all in attendance. Much progress was made in the commitment to prosecute criminals. The next day, several criminals were arrested. 27 Minutes.

	On March 5th, the Roatan community gathered to elect a new owner of RECO. After months of governmental manipulation, the people of Roatan remained determined to have who they wanted as owner of RECO. On March 6th, the community again gathered in mass to vote. Kelcy Warren's company won by a huge margin. 	On or around July 6th,16 Cubans arrived on Roatan shores by Palmetto Bay Plantation after a ten day boat trip. On Sunday July 9th, I met with all 16 Cuban exiles, 12 males and 4 females at a small hotel in Coxen Hole. This is an exclusive interview. 16 Minutes.

	The New Nursing School - After eight years of trying, Lic. Wilita Bennett, a nurse at the Roatan Public Hospital, has started a Nursing School sponsored by a Swedish group. This one time, two year program needs to continue long after this initial two year commitment. Joining her on the show were students Elvita Hunt, 19, Harrieth McLaughlin, 24, Steven Watler, 23 and Asst. Fire Chief Denzel Brooks, 35. 11/17/05. 28 Minutes.
	Marcos Nelson from the Municipal came on the show to discuss the conditions of the roads and what plans are in store to make the roads safer and more attractive for everyone. 23 Minutes.
	Kelly Woods and Carly Irvin - From Live to Give. Inc, a non-profit organization that will build clinics on Roatan. These two nurses from San Diego, California are committed to improving the healthcare for all people on the island. 8/25/04. 23 Minutes.

	On May 8th, I aired an interview I did with Utila Mayor Alton Cooper at the Roatan Airport on the Friday afternoon before. We spoke about the weeklong blackout on the island. The problem started during Semana Santa. Learn more about Utila's electrical problem and solution. 9 Minutes.

	Steven Helm - Listen to this talented and experienced Dive Master and instructor who has certified dozens of Honduras officials from local and national police, to firemen to airport rescue workers to political leaders. Steve is also constantly called upon to be in in Hollywood by top production companies to supervise their underwater scenes. Some of his recent movies are the Oceans 11 and 12, The Italian Job and many more. 	Lainie Cohen - Environmental activist from The Island Pearl Resort in The West Bay and her accomplishments with the spraying of mosquitoes in her efforts to keep down the threat of Malaria. This is a "must listen to" interview. 7/13/04. 30 minutes.
	On Friday July 7th, Arlie Thompson was officially inaugurated as the new Governor of the Bay Islands by the President Mel Zelaya. On Friday, July 14th, he was joined by all the top Bay Island political and community leaders at the Governors office where he officially took control of Governor from the now former Governor Janice Johnson. 3 Minutes.



	Mural Artists Joan Bourque and Sallie Cross along with teachers June Stockbridge and Tamara Addis are on the island as volunteers teaching children how to paint murals on their schools. ArtfulOceans.org is their website. July 9, 2007.
	On September 8th, 2006, Singer Kristen Diable from NYC came on the show to speak about singing career and her appearance at Land's End in The West End. 18 Minutes.
	On February 16th, 2007, and just two weeks before his intimely dealth, the late Nickolai Winter from the Roatan Yacht Club was invited to the show to share what he learned from his research on Internet service providers. His in depth investigation helped him decide for himself what service to start with for his clients. His added responsibility of having an antenea on a high spot that supports Internet service on the East End made his study and undertaking a more serious one kniowing that the outcome would effect many people. (On March 2nd, Nickolai was murdered on the grounds of the Roatan Yacht Club. The Police investigation has not yet come up with the killer.)

	Dr. Howard Gruber and Dr. Gil Duritz from Global Healing came in the show. They were representing their group out of the Bay Area in California who constantly send doctors to the downtown public hospital in Coxen Hole. An added attraction! 	Professional New York City Chef Annemarie Mienke is now residing on Roatan. One of her goals is to establish the first chef, cooking and catering school here on the Bay Islands. October 29th. 26 minutes

	Bucky Weeks, Community Relations & International Projects from the South Coast Medical Center, Laguna Beach , CA came on the show again with Kandy Hyde, Julie Christian, Coordinator of the South Coast Group (wife of hospital's president), Mike Thompson, Administrator, Florida Hospital-Celebration, Orlando, Jeremy Robinson, Director, Human Resources, FH/Celebration, Kaylene Walz, Group Coordinator, Walker Memorial SDA Church & FH/Heartland Division (she helped with a group that worked on Oakridge Clinic), and Sue Murrell, Youth Outreach Unlimited, (helped with a group that worked on Oakridge Clinic). They were all here for a site visit for final preperations before retuning in June of 2007 to construct the new clinic in French Harbour. 39 Minutes.

	Lex Gopnik is a news anchor and producer for an environmental radio show called "Meet the Planet." His shows are heard across North America on Sirius Satellite radio. He is here to do 3 or 4 feature stories about the environment on Roatan and how the people and government of Honduras are maintaining it. 	Rich Wilson and Alejandro Parades - Roatan has been selected as one of the three pilot sites for the ICRAN MAR, the sustainable tourism movement in Mesoamerica. This duo held workshops in Roatan, to engage the marine recreation industry and the community in general to start developing environmental and safety standards that will help improve conditions on the reef.
